Moving Jib Sheet Blocks to Coaming boards

I have moved my jib sheet blocks up to the coaming boards to get them out of the way in the cockpit.

Some of your rigs are already setup this way.

TimGillespie redid his this way, and I grabbed the idea from him. Thanks!

I'll let you all know how it works out.

My 1964 boat has the jib sheets rigged through the the cockpit combing as well. There is a brass flanged liner imbedded in the hole, with a jam cleat on the inside of the combing.

My falcon is rigged like joecomet's with brass flanged liner, there is a fairlead bolted on the deck leading from a sliding fairlead near the mast stay.I have seen some sliding farleads fastened straight and some on an angle, what is the correct way?alco2013

My late 50s Falcon does not have cars and tracks. the jib blocks are bolted just outside the opening in the combings. I find it awkward when coming about to realease one side and then jump across and haul in the other but others seem to have the opposite experience.

I have replaced my cockpit combings with mahogany and lead the jib sheets to blocks and tracks on the catwalks. The sheets then go to raised mahogany blocks on the outside of the combings, with jams. Works great and no holes in the combings.
